The Canada Federation Candidate is qualified and will deliver on his Defence Ministry’s’ objectives for Canada because:
Mr. Chamas has over 20 years of experience in Defence Sector development within emerging nations, utilizing broad partnerships with defence departments of key nations.
Mr. Chamas has worked extensively with some of the African countries emerging from conflicts, desiring a new approach to defence and security of their citizens and nations’ borders.
Mr. Chamas has built a strong alliance within the NATO members who are able to assist in the development of new strategies for defence and security.
Mr. Chamas understands that Canada has a significant place in the global community and in our North American continent.
Mr. Chamas understands that as Global citizens we must lead by example and with compassion; but we must do so from a place of strength and knowledge that our citizens are cared for and living to their potential. Defence and security should be based in the care of our citizens and country.
Canada has been a humanitarian and compassionate Global citizen leading the way in our UN Peacekeeping Missions throughout the globe. However, we have forgotten our peacekeepers, soldiers and veterans in the process of our global reach to help. We must be committed to looking after ALL of our citizens and especially those who sacrifice so much so we have all we need to sustain, thrive and grow as a country.
We must be committed to the care of our returning warriors who need mental health assistance and reintegration upon their return from combat and peacekeeping missions. Those who have been previously away and not been given proper assistance should have the means to reach out for help, and WE must ensure its there.
The reintegration of our returning soldiers should be a part of the combat mission planning so that none are left out or fall through the cracks and critical assessments should be part of the on-going health checks during deployment. These patriots should not be looked upon as just a number and treated superficially. Their needs are real and we can prevent suicide and other forms of negative consequences coming from PTSD and related issues.
Canada Federation is committed to a new outlook toward our Defence Ministry. This will include policy changes to care for our troops and peacekeepers, veterans and their families. Our Defence Ministry should be working more closely with the Foreign Affairs Ministry to find new approaches to conflict and its resolution.
